Erandio is placed to the right of laugh of Bilbao, between the mounts San Pablo (116 mts) and San Bernabé (225 mts), that separate the term of Bilbao, and the river Udondo, which gives limit with Leioa.

Erandio means big fertile plain, and probably the name has his origin in which part of the porch settles in a flatness fertile and extensive.

The municipality of Erandio presents two quite differentiated nuclei: the area understood between the Treeless one and her laugh at Bilbao, completely industrialized, and the quarter of Goiherri, in which a certain rural character survives still. It is in this second area where they find the buildings of major interest.
